Just Launched! Performance Management Training Series

As part of the Great Lakes Public Health Training Collaborative, we are happy to announce the launch of a new three part performance management training series that was created in collaboration with partners in Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.

This series serves to increase participants’ understanding of the purpose and benefits of performance management and provide guidance for getting started with building a performance management system. The series includes three modules:

  • Module 1: Introduction to Performance Management
  • Module 2: Building Your Performance Management System
  • Module 3: PHAB Requirements Relative to Performance Management

Designed as a self-paced, interactive, independent learning opportunity, each module consists of recorded presentations including exercises and self-check questions. Each module is 40 minutes in length; the entire course takes approximately 2 hours to complete. There is an accompanying Supplemental Resource Guide that provides an opportunity for participants to dig deeper into the content.
This training series is approved for 2.0 CHES, 2.0 CPH CEs, and 2.0 Nursing Contact Hours.

Register Now! Preparing for ICD-10 Training

Healthcare providers classify medical conditions and procedures using a standard coding system, the International Classification of Diseases (ICD). Public health relies on the receipt of ICD data from healthcare providers to conduct a variety of activities.

With the October 1, 2015 compliance date for ICD-10, every healthcare provider must ensure that they are adequately prepared for the updated ICD-10 codes. Illinois Public Health Association arranged a special ICD-10 training session for local health departments in Illinois. This session was recorded and is available for viewing on our training website, Publichealthlearning.com.
